Swindler who cheated clients out of $17 million receives one-day jail sentence

Adam Jay Boskovich of Laguna Niguel was arrested in 2013 on 32 felony counts of lying to his clients about an investment opportunity that was actually a Ponzi scheme. He served one day in jail. The judge signed off on the deal because Boskovich paid back the people he cheated.

"We believe, in light of all the facts and circumstances, we believe it was a fair settlement," his attorney, Paul Meyer, told the Daily News.
