The leader of this protest group walked into a restaurant in Toronto and asked the hapless restaurant hostess why "dog meat" wasn't on the menu. The flustered hostess didn't have an answer for her. The protestor then walked into the middle of the dining area and yelled to get the patrons' attention.
Reading from a script, she shouted a fabricated version of her interaction with the hostess, "We just asked the hostess if there was any dog meat here. And she said, 'No, there wasn't. How could anyone kill a dog? We love animals. We all love animals. We love Cecil the lion.'"
And so on. The woman was joined by a group of people holding signs that said, "It's not food. It's violence." She managed to get a few chuckles from her performance before she and her group were gently escorted from the premises.
