Bimbo's Initiation (1931) stars Bimbo the dog and Betty Boop in a dark, surreal tale of a creepy secret society. In a 1993 interview, Jim Woodring, one of my favorite contemporary cartoonists, described Bimbo's Initiation as "one of the things that laid the foundation for my life's philosophy."
