Mexico arrests 12 in murders of young women forced into prostitution

Prosecutors in Mexico have arrested 12 drug dealers, pimps, and small store owners for the murders of 11 women who disappeared when they were as young as 15, forced into sexual slavery in Ciudad Juarez. When the girls were no longer "useful," they were killed. "I gave them everything on a silver platter, and these dogs didn't do anything," the mother of one victim said of the original investigators. She fought to get key evidence introduced; detectives didn't take her leads seriously. "I'm in this for all of us," she said of other victims' moms. "I feel that [my daughter] is with me, helping me." [Associated Press]
