Scott says:
I've always wanted to catch lightning, but I've never had much luck —
this time I tried another technique — I set my camera to "bulb" mode
(which means a manual start/stop to the exposure, rather than a
specified shutter speed). So I would start the exposure and just wait
for something to happen, and then stop the exposure. This one was 37
seconds.
But even in bulb mode, I still had to get pretty lucky to catch this.
