Screams lead police to chess loser

Police investigating screams emerging from an apartment raided it only to find a chess player anguished at the failure of his inept strategies.

Dispatchers in Oslo received several emergency calls Monday from nearby residents alarmed by the man's shrieks, according to the local police department's twitter feed. But the man, unnamed in reports, had merely found himself unable to defeat a chess program installed upon his computer.
