There's a special place in hell reserved for Petra Laszlo, a camerawoman for Hungary's far-right TV news network N1TV. Laszlo has been fired after images emerged on social media of her tripping a man who was holding a child in his arms while they fled police at a Syrian war refugee camp near the Serbian border.

I imagine that this special place in hell with Petra Laszlo's name on it might look exactly like the hell these Syrian people are so desperately trying to get away from.

The New York Times' Robert Mackey has a tick-tock of how the story unfolded on social media.
