If you've ever played a car racing video game, some of these shapes may be familiar, but Matt Dunlop built on the work of several others to create this fascinating map of the world's famous motorsport courses.
It focuses on Formula One but includes some other types of courses. The border is the Snaefell Mountain Course on the Isle of Man, a beautiful but terrifying course probably best known as a no-limit motorcycle course.
One of the few non-closed courses is the Pikes Peak course, completed below in about ten minutes (if Snaefel didn't give you a heart attack):
