That's right- legendary, growling superhero Batman first made his debut on March 30, 1939, albeit scarcely recognizable as his uber-broody modern-day self. There's no doubt that he's one of the most influential fictional characters of all time, with decades of comics, video games, critically acclaimed movies and more under his utility belt.
Although newly-minted DCEU head James Gunn Tweeted about the occasion, no official news about future Batman-related projects has been revealed to mark it. The Batman 2 is still in limbo, and Colin Farrel's Penguin series doesn't have much more than a single teaser at the moment. Either way, Batman's cultural momentum shows no signs of stopping. Personally, I'm going to celebrate by starting yet another playthrough of Arkham City.
