Trump's rootin' tootin' secret police keep "accidentally shooting themselves," reports Newsweek, with three blasting themselves in the leg within two days during "training exercises." A fourth shot himself with a taser, inside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office.
No one was killed in the incidents, and all injured personnel were treated and released, according to internal incident reports obtained by the watchdog American Oversight through a Freedom of Information Act request and shared with Newsweek. Two former senior ICE officials told Newsweek that accidental discharges were not uncommon and often involved experienced agents rather than new hires.
If they're not shooting protesters, they're shooting something. And they don't tell anyone who doesn't need to know.
ICE said the accidental discharge happened while the employee was holstering his government-issued service firearm during a quarterly training exercise. The bullet struck the right upper thigh and exited the lower portion of the same leg. No other injuries were reported. Officials noted that the employee showed no signs of impairment, and there was no involvement of alcohol. The range officer reported the incident to the sheriff's office, which did not file a police report.
But to be sure, they are shooting prostestors and U.S. Citizens who get in their way, and lying about the shootings.
Two federal immigration agents involved in the shooting of a Venezuelan immigrant in Minneapolis last month appear to have lied about the details of the incident, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said Friday. The agents have been placed on administrative leave after "a joint review by ICE and the Department of Justice of video evidence has revealed that sworn testimony provided by two separate officers appears to have made untruthful statements," the spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, said.
