I'll stop posting about HowToBasic when his one joke stops being funny, damn it. For the uninitiated, HowToBasic — the moniker of a true Internet institution who's been around for more than a decade — is a nude, wordless Australian chef whose lack of talent is more than compensated for by his enthusiasm.
All of his videos feel like basic cooking tutorials… until they don't. Even funnier than the sudden smash cuts to a destroyed, egg-covered kitchen is the idea that someone seeking an actual tutorial might stumble upon these videos and get jumpscared — and that is HowToBasic's joke. Given that he's most infamous for putting eggs where they shouldn't be, the egg-heavy Japanese comfort dish omurice ought to be a slam dunk for him.
…Hm. Yeah, no, never mind. One has to wonder how many eggs this guy goes through in a week. At least nothing got set on fire… this time!
