This "book tree" appears on the IJM photography site -- it's a great, bookish alternative to a Christmas tree/Hannukwanzah bush for this year. Link, Link to IJM site (giant Flash blob with no permalinks) (via Cribcandy)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Would that I had that much spare space on my bookshelves.

Looking at that pains me. I can’t imagine doing that to any books, much less ones I care about.

Actually, what’d be better is if you stacked them flat on their sides in a sort of hollow cone shape. That way you could put little Christmasy trinkets on it to decorate said book tree. :)
