      I bought a cheap best of CD for the Shangri-Las back in the 80s when I was an angry teen (proper angry teens in the 80s listened to 60s music. Fact.) and played it to death. Still do. The music bounces around from proto-RiotGrrl, through aching ballads to breathless pop – mwah!

  4. shit me – haven’t heard this since my flatmate’s tape recorder ate it. Loved this one too – covered by Superchunk back in the day, but the original burns it to the ground.
