Ninety percent of the buildings were damaged or destroyed in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, when it was hit by Cyclone Pam. Twenty-four people have died and over 3,000 are homeless. The hospital has no electricity and clean water is dangerously low.

Vanuatu's president, Baldwin Lonsdale, told The Telegraph that the storm had "'wiped out' all recent development and his country, one of the world's poorest, would have to rebuild 'everything.'"
