Cotton balls turned into a colorful garden tool handle

Peter Brown decided to dye some cotton balls, soak them in resin, then turn the resulting form on a lathe to make a delightful colored handle for a refurbished garden tool.

After the last cotton ball project, I really wanted to try dying the cotton. I also used a higher resin to cotton ratio to really get it to soak into the fibers. I love the material, and how the dye brings a depth to the cotton that is much harder to see in the non-dyed version. Overall, I feel there are still loads of possibilities for this material. I doubt I'm done with it.
