Southern California might seem like a strange place to study snowflakes, but that's where Ken Libbrecht perfected his technique for making identical snowflakes.
Turns out there are more snowflake forms than the typical "stellar dendrite" kind most people know.
Ken invented a way to grow "identical twin," and even identical quadruplet, snowflakes. They call him the "snowflake scientist." He even became the snowflake consultant for Disney's "Frozen."
