I'd just like to show you the glorious design of the Kunbus Revolution Pi [kunbus.com], which it markets as the "industrial Raspberry Pi" alongside a variety of modular add-ons. It is clearly not intended for consumer or even enthusiast use (prices start at €150) but that just sounds like a good reason to buy a crate of them and a DIN power rail for your water treatment facility, bottling plant, railway yard, missile range, etc.
