The average color of the universe is called "cosmic latte"

In 2002, scientists from Johns Hopkins University surveyed the light from over 200,000 galaxies and found that the average color of the universe is hex number #FFF8E7, which they determined by analyzing stars that shifting from blue to red. When news outlets began picking up the story, the research team started brainstorming fun names for the color, soon realizing they were "caffeine-biased," and eventually landed on "cosmic latte."
