“This pretentious ponderous collection of religious rock psalms is enough to prompt the question, ‘What day did the Lord create Spinal Tap, and couldn’t he have rested on that day too?’”

So it’s a rip-off of the Grinch animation song, right?

i thought the 2nd line was ‘you’re a haughty one..’

the best joke in that entire film is the line ”twas my lucky bun-day’ in big bottom. killer

I agree, the second line is “You’re a haughty one.”

I thought the best joke in the film was when “Sir Dennis Eaton-Hogg” says, “So say we all, tap into America.”

Did any group ever take the whole “life imitates art” thing to the extreme that Spinal Tap does? I love these guys ;-)

I guess I’m the only one this doesn’t work for. Hmm.

@8 I was *just* coming here to comment on the similarity to the Grinch song. I’d mod you up if I had mod points…and if this were Slashdot.

I caught them in Philly and really didn’t understand why Derek, Nigel and David kept referring to a bunch of other musicians and movies that I had never heard of. Also, they were touring without a drummer. I hope nothing tragic has happened.

“Sex Farm” was too much for my wife. Oh the lust that Tap inspires!
