For Halloween 1991 (when I was 11), I made a Rocketeer costume. My jetpack involved some of my mom’s egg-shaped Leggs pantyhose containers, my brother’s old Real Ghostbusters proton pack, papier-mâché, and some silver Krylon spraypaint.
