The Maker (animated short film)

From LA-based Zealous Creative, a beautiful animated short in which "a strange creature races against time to make the most important and beautiful creation of his life."

The Maker has screened at over 60 festivals and won 11 awards. Director: Christopher Kezelos. The short's score, "Winter," was composed by Paul Halley. You can download it from his website. (via Suzanne Stefanac)

    Saw this at the Calgary International Film Festival, and loved it.  Tried to figure out if it was a comment on something, and if so, what?  My best guess was the futility and beauty of creation from the creator’s perspective, but my fiancee disagreed.

    Interesting subversion of Pygmalion. Right up until the end i was like “blah…Why isn’t this sexist trope dead yet?”

    Too painful to like. I saw the ending coming about halfway through. I’ve seen too much heartache to really appreciate this.
