This grotesque-Jetsons illustration comes from the 1994 title Art? Alternatives Magazine. It's by XNO/Chet Darmstaedter, and there's also a dandy Flintstones/zombie illustration I've had a look at.

(Thanks, Fipi Lele!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Stylistically, it looks just like the Garbage Pail Kids card illustrations.

Clearly he checked out some pathology books because the “Cyclops” birth defect often has fused eyes with two pupils just like that.  As far as I know, it’s always with assorted other fatal birth defects, but you can certainly seen full term kids like that floating in jars of preservative.

See what happens when you outlaw stem cell research?

Jane could put that eye out with those Madonna knockers.
