Quartz crystal armchair

This $14,000 armchair, designed by CTRL ZAK and Davide Barzaghi uses a beechwood lattice and upholstered, giant geometric shapes that resemble quartz crystals. You can arrange them to suit your body and needs. The cost is more than I'm willing (or able!) to spend on an armchair, but I love the concept.

The $13,999 Quartz Armchair fuses natural wood with geometric bearing (via JWZ)

  1. Or a little bit like the basalt columns in the Giant's Causeway, too - though I guess basalt is mostly hexagonal. Or maybe it looks like the inside of a soccer ball. In any case that's a very fun design!
