After a wave of anti-semitic attacks swept America, Donald Trump convened a meeting of state Attorneys General, and repeated a conspiracy theory posted hours before to a neo-Nazi website that suggested that Jews had perpetrated the attacks as a false-flag operation to make the Trump administration look bad.
Earlier in the same day, Trump advisor Anthony Scaramucci had also publicly speculated that the anti-semitic attacks were false-flag operations, but he blamed them on Democrats, not Jews.
Perhaps they could merge the two theories and blame the attacks on Jewish Democrats?
Trump does have a Jewish son-in-law and daughter, whom he has presented as evidence of his bona fides as someone who doesn't hate Jews. But he's also married to a woman, and this has not caused him to esteem women.
President Trump on Tuesday told attorneys general from across the country that the recent rash of attacks and threats against Jewish institutions was “reprehensible” but suggested that it might not only reflect anti-Semitism, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
Sometimes, the president said, "the reverse can be true," Shapiro said, recalling the conversation at the White House. "Someone's doing it to make others look bad."
