Dolores O'Riordan drowned in the bathtub after drinking too much and was in "good spirits" before her death, according to an inquest held in London.
O'Riordan died as a result of a "tragic accident", the coroner said.
She had no injuries or evidence of self harm, and had drunk an excessive amount of alcohol, expert witnesses said. ... Toxicology tests showed only "therapeutic" amounts of medication in O'Riordan's blood, but showed up 330mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
A junk news site called "The Santa Monica Observer" claimed she killed herself with fentanyl; Yahoo! News and other media still have reportage sourced to this now-obviously fake story.
Surviving members of The Cranberries released a statement.

"Today we continue to struggle to come to terms with what happened.
"Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dolores' children and her family and our thoughts are with them today.

"We'd like to say thank you to all of our fans for the outpouring of messages and their continued support during this very difficult time.
"We request, please, for our privacy to be respected at this time."
Ja Rule, who claims he hasn’t watched either of the Fyre festival documentaries, is ready to rise like a phoenix from the, er, flames: “(Fyre is) the most iconiq festival that never was,” he says. “So I have plans to create the iconic music festival.”
NYC punk band The New York Rats is launching their new album on Sunday: it's a heavy vinyl LP with amazing sleeve art by Andrea Sicco; the album itself is Ramones-y, Husker-Du-ish uptempo punk that I've had on heavy rotation all week: it's 7:30PM on at Our Wicked Lady, 153 Morgan Ave, Brooklyn.
One letter different, but a world apart.
