Nature's li'l hackers break into security contractor's van
Two bear cubs have been rescued after somehow managing to break into and then lock themselves inside some guy's van, then honking the horn for 20 minutes straight as if to summon help.
And there's video.
Isn't nature magical?
Says Jeff Stokely of Gatlinburg Tennessee, “2 cubs opened the door and got in and then locked the doors with my key inside. They blew the horn until I got the door unlocked and got them out.”
Here's the video, part 1.
Here's part 2.
Here's part 3.
Stokely says he heard honking for 20 minutes before he finally went to investigate.
Jeff Stokely works with A.S.A.P. Security Systems. He parked his van outside a customer's house in Gatlinburg on Friday, and got to work. It wasn't long before he started hearing a car horn blowing from somewhere. He says it was about 20 minutes before it occurred to him that it might be his own van.
(...) Stokely deduced the bears had climbed in through the driver side door - but that door was now closed. And locked. Stokely believes the bears must have hit the lock button once they were inside.
After capturing the wandering intruders on video, Stokely opened the back door to the van. The two cubs eventually lumbered out and returned to the woods.
Mama Bear was not observed anywhere near the incident.
Gatlinburg is hardcore, y'all.

There was already enough concern about the healthy state of our drinking water before COVID-19. And while there’s no evidence that the coronavirus has ever been detected in the water supply, the general sense of fear surrounding any type of contamination is obviously at a fever pitch everywhere. Contaminants like lead, chromium, arsenic, copper, mercury, […]
