My Top Ten Top Ten Top Ten list

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Recursion starts to get boring after the second iteration, and REALLY boring after the third.

    • Just_Ok

aren’t there 7 iterations of hell?

      • Felton / Moderator

Really?  I could have sworn I read a list of Top Ten Iterations of Hell once.

        • awjt

If this comment gets 7 nested replies, I’m going to rescind my original whinge about boring recursion.

So you should. Recursion is awesome!

    Inception!

… someone had to say it

    • Just_Ok

you could have just dreamt it.

      • awjt

I dreamt he dreamt it and that you commented.

  • morkl

Yo dawg, I heard you like top ten lists, so I put ten top ten lists in your top ten list so you can read top ten lists while you read top ten lists!

Thanks for those one thousand links!

Thanks for linking to my Christmas post! I love me a good Top Ten. And a Top Ten Top Ten? Golden.

  • semiotix

I’m glad this is getting the recognition it deserves. It was #3 on my top ten top ten top ten top ten lists list.

  • SamSam

So is this 1000 different items, or is it 1111 items because each of the lists (including this top one) is an item itself?

Also interesting to note (well, to me, anyway) that the “Top ten top ten top ten lists” can’t contain itself, because it isn’t a “top ten top ten list,” although if it had just billed itself as the “top ten lists” then it could, being a list. Yes?
