Soylent Green prop from 1972 movie sold at auction for $(removed)

Above, a Soylent Green can and cracker that sold at auction in November for $(removed) The cracker is a small piece of balsa wood painted lime green.

I'm a huge fan of the 1973 movie, starring Charlton Heston and Edward G Robinson. (It was Robinson's final film, and he gave a great performance as Heston's elderly pal, Sol). Chuck Braverman's opening title sequence is a classic piece of 1970s filmmaking. The movie is based on a science fiction novel called Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison, which I read in a single summer day when I was in the 7th grade

I'm glad I didn't know about this auction until it was over, otherwise I might have been stupid enough to buy it.
