The way these schoolchildren in rural Uganda react to a hobbyist's drone flight demo is so delightful. Honestly, my reaction when I first saw a friend navigate his UAV into the air was about the same.
Mark Brandon Smith shot this wonderful video, and tells the tale behind it.
I was in northwestern Uganda filming with a non-profit IMOutreach.org that was teaching about hygiene and personal/community health. The headmaster of a school there asked me to give the kids a show with the drone. I launched the DJI Phantom 3 Professional and flew a short flight. The students loved it and kept asking for more once the drone landed. Though excited and curious, some of the children were also nervous as they had never seen or even heard of drones before. I quickly became a village celebrity; the locals would even make buzzing drone-like noises whenever walking past me on the streets!

Yorkshire artist James Brunt uses rocks and all sorts of other natural objects like sticks, leaves and nuts to create lovely symmetrical mandalas for strangers to find while out and about.
