"Game on." Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders may debate

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have more or less agreed to debate one another.

Trump was a guest on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night, taped right before a $25,000+ per person Donald Trump fundraiser in Hollywood. The guest list was secret, because his entertainment and media industry supporters in Hollywood are rightly ashamed of themselves. On the late-night talk show before that event, Kimmel asked Trump about various hot topics like transgender bathrooms, and– whether Trump would consider debating Bernie Sanders.

On Kimmel, Trump said yes, if all proceeds go to charity.

Wait, debates are for-profit? Someone normally makes money off of these important milestones in the election cycle? Gosh, who knew.

As Trump accepted the "invitation" from Kimmel, Trump asked how much Sanders would be willing to pay him — for charity — and suggested that a television network could also front the money. Spoken like a true mob boss.

Trump said during the interview that he has never met Sanders.

Bernie Sanders replied without delay, on Twitter:

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton previously turned down Sanders' invite for a debate in California, where all 3 candidates were yesterday.

No word from Clinton on whether she'd join the newly proposed debate. She has her hands full right now with the State Department Inspector General report on mishandled emails.

While Kimmel didn't ask Trump any of the questions we're hoping a real journalist someday will, he got a predictably shitty answer on the transgender bathroom thing:

"[The] party generally believes what whatever you're born, that's the bathroom you use," responded Trump.
