On Tuesday, attorney Scott Balber confirmed the identity of his client to various news organizations after a CNN report revealed that Mr. Kaveladze had been identified by special counsel Robert Mueller's prosecutors, and was cooperating in the investigation into Trump's dirty links to Russia.

Snip from the New York Times:

Scott S. Balber, an attorney for Aras Agalarov, the businessman, said he sent an associate named Ike Kaveladze to the meeting, which took place in the midst of last year's presidential campaign. Mr. Balber said that Mr. Kaveladze attended the meeting "just to make sure it happened and to serve as an interpreter if necessary."

Besides the younger Mr. Trump and Mr. Kaveladze, the meeting was attended by a Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and other officials from the Trump campaign.
