A reverse mortgage is when you sell your house to the bank but they let you occupy it until you die. That's the pitch, anyway: the reality is that it's a complex and obfuscated form of loan hawked through "misleading advertising" and "low-quality counseling" which exists hand in had with "risk of fraud and other scams".
