Man arrested after pretending to be a shop mannequin to steal jewelry

Police in Warsaw, Poland arrested a 22-year-old man for attempting to steal jewelry from a shopping center. When the stores were closing, he apparently pretended to be a shop mannequin so he could grab the goods once everyone left for the night.

"A 22-year-old with a bag in his hand froze motionless, pretending to be a mannequin in front of a shop window," according to a police statement. "In this way, he wanted to avoid being exposed by the cameras."

ABC News reports that he's also accused of emptying cash registers from another shopping center after closing time. He's facing ten years in jail.
