The below image was captured on a trail camera in Rockwell County, North Carolina prompting a serious investigation into a possible tiger on the loose in the community. According to UPI, animal services authorities reassured citizens by confirming that "all registered tigers were accounted for."
Without more evidence, Rowan Animal Services Director Maria Pannell can't rule out that the animal in the photo may be something much less concerning than a wayward tiger.
"We're hoping that this may be a tabby cat that someone has caught on camera," she said.
