"Donald Dump" depicts Trump with sludge oozing out of his mouth

I'm a huge fan of street art, and this recent piece in Naples, Italy by World Press Photo Award winner and acclaimed photojournalist Eduardo Castaldo is one of the best I've ever seen. The piece, titled "Donald Dump," is a black and white stencil painting of Donald Trump. Castaldo chose to paint the stencil on a wall that contained an active drainage pipe, and cleverly positioned the painting so that Trump's gaping mouth perfectly aligns with the oozing pipe. The result is that Trump's "mouth" constantly emits a foul, dark brown sludge.

Eduardo Castaldo is a photographer and film director who lives in Naples, where he uses the city's walls as a living canvas for what he calls his "urban artivism" (art + activism). Writing for UpMag, Claudia M. Ribotti perfectly describes Castaldo's street artivism, stating that it "doesn't mince words." She goes on to write that:

It shows the rawness of reality and it's framed to hit the conscience of those who suspend their walk for a few seconds and turn their gaze on fascinating scruffy walls in the city center. Apartheid, resistance, fascism, colonialism, revolution, oppression are not sugarcoated. They are shown without filters to make people face the discomfort of nowadays dimension.

Castaldo's "Donald Dump" certainly fits this description. I love the simplicity of the piece. It's just a black and white stylized stencil painting, but the addition of the actively oozing pipe changes it into something that's deeply gross and evocative — it really gives me a visceral feeling of disgust, yet I can't look away. As one viewer commented, "One of the most lifelike portraits of Trump, ever! It completely captures his style and personality!"
