Final Pratchett novel is out: The Shepherd's Crown

Well, The Shephed's Crowd (a Tiffany Aching book) is out in the UK, anyway — (idiotically) the US release will be Sept 1.

As noted, Pratchett's daughter, Rhianna, his literary executor, will not authorize any more Discworld novels.

Pratchett once told me: "The Tiffany Aching series is what I would most like to be remembered for."

Shops opened at midnight and included Waterstones in Piccadilly, central London, where the author's friend Rob Wilkins read an extract to 200 ticket-holders.

I haven't read this one yet, but I'm going to be getting my copy ASAP, and, just like you, I'll be reading it straightaway.
