When one man's screen cracked, our pal Doctor Popular saw an opportunity:
After a cat knocked knocked over his tv, Timothy Ryan Mulroney took a photo of the cracked screen and shared it on the Glitch Artists Collective on Facebook.
I thought it would make a great iPhone wallpaper… so I made it into one. You can download it here.

Today was a good day. A package from San Francisco artist Doctor Popular arrived in the mail. Inside were eight tiny publications, what he calls the Mini-Comics Mixtape.
He writes, "All 8 comics were drawn in under 24 hours with no planning in advance, so the stories can get a little out there." They're so good -- funny, offbeat and engaging!
Plus, he used a Risograph to print the comic books in two colors, which makes them look extra neat.
He's selling the set for $12 over at Etsy or through his site DoctorPopular.com.

About a year ago, professional yo-yoist (and hand-knit Pac-Man Icelandic peysa wearer) Doc Pop submitted a proposal for a yo-yo emoji. He's just learned that it was approved!
He explains how he made it happen (fascinating!) in his most recent PopCast:
Last year I started working on a proposal for a yo-yo emoji, with the helps of my friends at Emojination. It’s been an interesting experience and I’m really excited to say that it’s been officially accepted by the Unicode Consortium. Expect to see it in Unicode version 12, early next year.
Here's what the yo-yo emoji will look like:
You can submit an emoji proposal too. Check it out. Read the rest
