Intel and Chinese tech firm Ehang UAV have been locked in a battle over the world record for largest drone lightshow, and Ehang recently took the lead with 1,374 drones as voxels.
Here's a behind-the-scenes of Intel's worthy entry at PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics:

A drone captured this aerial peek of Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (aka "Star Wars land") as it stood at the beginning of last month. I was just at the park this past weekend with my daughter and we caught glimpses of its construction while riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As you'll see, the future planet of Batuu is ginormous (14 acres in total).
The Disney Parks Blog reports:
At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, guests will be transported to the planet of Batuu, a remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes. Here, guests will find themselves in the middle of the action at two attractions that take detail and immersion to the next level: one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
As you can see in this video, which Bob Iger shared this morning during the 2018 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is shaping up to be one of the most detailed and immersive lands ever created in Disney Parks history.
Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is also being built at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. The lands are estimated to cost $1B each and both are set to open in 2019. Yahoo!

Using the "world's smallest HD drone," Robert McIntosh filmed Muscle-Up, a short that flies (seemingly) effortlessly over and around Southern California's famous Muscle Beach first thing in the morning. Impressively, it was all shot in one take.
At the Los Angeles Drone Film Festival in December, his short won in two categories: Made in LA and Best in Show.
According to a friend of his, McIntosh received a a $23,000 drone for the prize.
To stabilize the raw footage, which as you'll see below wasn't all that smooth, he used ReelSteady for Adobe After Effects. Read the rest

Meat brand Oscar Mayer has announced the latest additions to its WienerFleet and frankly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relishing the news.
Their fleet already includes the iconic Wienermobile, the WienerMini (a hotdog-shaped MINI Cooper), and the four-wheeling, off-roading Wiener Rover. This summer, to introduce their new line of less-wurst* dogs, they've added two new branded vehicles. The first is the WienerCycle which is a three-wheeled moped designed for "tricky urban deliveries." It's pretty cool looking with its sweet sidecar which also acts a hotdog warming station.
But, the one that really kicks buns is the WienerDrone, a small 6.5 pound drone that drops warm meat from the sky. They report that it's the "first unmanned hot dog-carrying aircraft designed for remote location delivery."
If you're trying to ketchup, that means it will rain fewer cats and more dogs this summer.
*They're removing "all added nitrates and nitrites, by-products and artificial preservatives from the meat" in their "entire line of hot dogs."
